a fun little interim piece
Well, not so little (14x17), and it took me 3 weeks to draw/ink, plus a couple days to color.
I got all excited about the Legion of Super Heroes after seeing the classic characters from the late 70's/early 80's appearing in the recent JLA/JSA crossover. I had just finished a 9 page story for Approbation Comics and decided to do one of my mega multi-character pinups.
I'm pretty sure I got everyone up to 1984, with the exception of Elastic Lad and Insect Queen (Jimmy Olsen and Lana Lang). I also included Polar Boy, even though he appeared as a member after the '84 cut-off. Also, the costumes are not from a single time snapshot... I used my favorites for everyone. I always did like Saturn Girl's swimsuit outfit. ;)
Next, I'll return to the Baseball comic and finish off the extra 2 pages Sam gave me to fill out the transitions.
